School Notes:

  • Landmark School enables and empowers people with language-based learning disabilities to realize their educational and social potential through an exemplary school program complemented by outreach, training, and research.
  • Landmark is recognized as the international leader in the field of learning disabilities. Since opening in 1971, we’ve become a pioneer in special education, with our programs for students in grades 2-12 and our extensive professional training offerings for educators, families, and community leaders.
  • We combine diagnosis and customized teaching programs, providing students with intensive 1-on-1 tutoring and a strong community environment that encourages our students to take responsibility for their own learning. Through this intensive education program, Landmark students overcome their learning disabilities, discover new ways to learn and reach their own potential.
  • This program concentrates on mastering the skills of reading, writing, spelling, study skills, and composition by providing two daily periods of one-to-one tutorial instruction. These fundamental skills are further reinforced and developed in the small group language arts classes of four to eight students where writing skills and literature are emphasized. Small group classes are also offered in mathematics, and study skills.
