School Notes:

  • OMNI Camp was founded in 1989 to bring kids and teens together from all the country and world. In a program of fabulous activities, campers encounter true lifelong friendships, new talents, and a heightened appreciation of the world they are creating.
  • OMNI Camp combines traditional camping activities with a program of core values to create a community of individuals who work together to explore and to grow in respect, confidence and ability. OMNI, which stands for Open Minds, New Ideas, emphasizes participation, challenge, team effort, cooperation, communication and, of course, fun and friendship. In the close, caring, non-competitive environment, campers and staff live together, resolve conflict, work, play, and create with the strengths and talents that they have within them. This doesn't just happen; these values need to be practiced and shared in all aspects of the camp experience from the elective activities to the awareness workshops and in each encounter among campers and staff. The OMNI program provides that special balance of structure and freedom for maximum success, safety and enjoyment.
  • OMNI's program is comprehensive and varied, allowing campers to choose their electives on a weekly basis. Each day four electives are scheduled in addition to Awareness Workshops and Free Time. Campers attend these classes for six days and then new classes are chosen. If a camper chooses a class and later decides that he or she would like to change to another class, our program staff will make every effort to make the change.
