School Notes:

  • The University of Chicago offers a wide array of programs and courses for students of many ages from all over the United States and around the world. We offer three-week Summer Program for High School Students, plus exciting course offerings in the programs.
  • Each year our summer students rave about the campus environment and atmosphere! The University of Chicago campus adds a great deal to the academic and social experience--the campus itself is actually a botanic garden. Amidst the English collegiate gothic architecture, there are plenty of lawns on which to relax, study, play frisbee, or feed our gregarious squirrels. Buildings are characterized by the use of gray limestone, red-tile roofs, deep-set rectangular windows, elaborate ornamentation, gargoyles and chimeras and decorated towers, all arranged around a series of tree-shaded quadrangles.
  • Experience a discipline in-depth and hands-on in these intensive three-week courses, as you join experts in their fields in doing what they do. Every course takes advantage of the unique educational opportunities offered by the University and the city of Chicago, taking the material taught in undergraduate-level courses and adding an experiential piece not available in traditionally designed courses. All courses are taught at the undergraduate level for college credit.
  • Insight explores disciplines such as law, psychology, and writing in these intensive, hands-on, college-credit courses.
