School Notes:

  • Career Explorations presents a unique opportunity for high school students to sample the professional world through hands-on, month long internships in New York City. Interns receive practical experience working along side professional mentors in a wide range of industries and professions. Career Explorations strives to make available a healthy balance of work, culture, social life, and entertainment as participants embrace the transition from high school to college.
  • Career Explorations gives high school students a “jump start “ on their career planning by providing them with real-world work experiences in a nurturing and supervised environment created by a caring and dedicated staff. We provide opportunities for our interns to explore both career and creative interests in professional environments in a variety of fields. We offer interns a culturally enriching summer in addition to a glimpse into a professional field of their choice. We introduce interns to the college process through organizational workshops, mock interviews, and tours of schools in the New York City Area. We instill a sense of autonomy and responsibility in our interns both as individuals and as part of a group by giving them appropriate privileges within established boundaries.
