School Notes:

  • Education Unlimited®, established in 1993, provides a variety of summer camps, summer programs and summer study, residential and commuter, for students in grades 4 through 12.
  • The Actors Workshop is designed to give young actors training in several different acting skills: basic acting technique, voice, movement and improvisation. While many will have had introductions to these skills and approaches to the craft of acting, our aim is to give Workshop participants intensive exposure to tools they will need to pursue as they develop as actors.
  • The High School Workshop is a three week program for students entering their freshman through senior year. The Middle School Workshop is a two week program for students entering the 7th and 8th grades. The goal of each Workshop is to have each participant leave the program with a monologue that he or she feels confident performing, whether as an audition or performance piece. In addition, students rotate through workshops on subjects like voice and improv with Workshop instructors.

These seminars are taught by various faculty members and provide students exposure to a number of different teaching styles. Electives are offered each afternoon in a variety of specialty areas, such as mask work, Shakespeare and scansion, theories of acting and performance, stage combat, directing and many more.
