School Notes:
- Pepperdine's Summer College for High School gives students the opportunity to experience the academic challenge and social interaction of university life. Students enroll in undergraduate courses, receive college credit, live in undergraduate residences, and interact with Seaver College faculty and students. The program emphasizes college preparation, through enrichment curriculum, guest lectures from admission counselors, and assistance with college applications and essays.
- Courses are taught by Seaver College faculty as well as distinguished visiting scholars from major universities around the world. Summer classes tend to be smaller than those in other semesters, allowing for greater interaction between faculty and students.
- Summer College students live in Rockwell Towers and will have a roommate who is also a Summer College student. Resident Advisors live in the residence with the students and work to create a supportive environment. Adult staff members of Pepperdine's Housing and Community Living office also live on campus and are available to Summer College students. Room and board are included in the program fee paid by admitted students.
- Students are encouraged to attend activities planned for our undergraduate students by the Student Activities office and the Student Government Association. Some activities planned for this summer are, hiking in the Santa Monica mountains, ocean kayaking, aerobics classes, intramural sports, outdoor BBQ, ice cream social, game nights, CoffeeHouse, and excursions to 3rd street Promenade in Santa Monica.
