School Notes:

  • PMC's picturesque campus is situated on 60 wooded acres in the Chestnut Hill section of Brookline, Massachusetts, five miles from downtown Boston.
  • Pine Manor College prepares women for inclusive leadership and social responsibility in their workplaces, families and communities. We pursue this goal through: integration of an outcomes-based curriculum and co-curriculum demonstrated by portfolio presentations; active, collaborative, applied liberal arts learning; and college-wide mentoring teams and community partnerships --in an environment that celebrates diversity and respects the common good.
  • The Center for Inclusive Leadership and Social Responsibility fosters leadership skills of young women (from middle school age through college age), which are inclusive of all people and are directed toward a common good. The Center is a hub of activity for women of all ages and backgrounds -- reaching out to the community while providing teaching and learning opportunities for Pine Manor College students and faculty.
  • The Summer Summit Program expands the concepts that are introduced in the weekend Leadership Conferences. In this five-day program, more emphasis is placed on service and social responsibility, our experiences as girls and women, and working in a diverse setting. The extended program gives participants an opportunity to take more off-campus trips, see professional women in a variety of roles, hear speakers on a number of topics, and engage in more skill-building activities.
  • The Summer Summit is an extended, intensive conference, where participants are able to more thoroughly address topics such as social responsibility, diversity, creating positive change, self-esteem, and college entrance. Activities include team-building exercises, creative projects, community service, interactive discussions, career exploration, excursions into Boston, relaxation, and socializing!
