  • Rumsey Hall prepares its students for the discipline required in secondary schools and beyond, through small classes, a tightly-knit dormitory life, a wide range of sports, extracurricular programs and sound academics.
  • The program is a balanced 5-week program of academics, recreation, and enrichment. It Includes: Academic Enrichment or Review, Language Skills and Developmental Reading, English as a Second Language (ESL), Daily Recreational Activities & Field Trips and Cultural Experiences.
  • The close relationship between teachers and students is a special part of boarding school. Opportunities for support and encouragement are abundant, and renewed self-confidence is often the most outstanding product of a summer at Rumsey. Special emphasis is placed on English, mathematics, study skills, and computer skills. Students who need language skills or developmental reading help are given individual attention from trained specialists. English as a second language (ESL) is offered to international students. Rumsey Hall students have access to state-of-the-art personal computers and software.
  • Great emphasis is placed on providing a variety of recreational and enrichment activities to ensure a balanced, happy, and productive Summer Session. Every afternoon, students select from a variety of activities, such as swimming, hiking, tennis, fishing, horseback riding, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and basketball. Occasional off-campus school trips are planned to museums, concerts, amusement parks, and sporting events.
